y pipe rattle??

im not sure if this is exaust or not so ... here goes it in general

i hear a rattle that sounds like a marble in the bottom of a metal can ( spinning around the edges ) cept a little Lower tone

it only happens when accelerating from low speeds in maby sometimes if i dont give enough gas first and around corners in second

could it just be the engine straining because im going slow and givin it a lil gas?

sounds like it could be ur CAT......jack the car up and beat on ur pipes till u find the problem....

Not neccessarly the cat. I had same problem, rattleing noise. At idle you cant hear it, only at certain excelleration.

See our "Y-Pipes" are made of two pipes. A smaller pipe inside of a larger pipe. Over time, the smaller pipe inside begins to rust away and starts to create a rattleing noise.

If you can, take it too a good muffler shop and have them put the car up on the lift, have one of the guys keep hitting the gas and eventually you will figure out that its the y-pipe. I HIGHLY doubt its your cat!

DO NOT BUY A Y PIPE THROUGH THE DEALER!
The y-pipe threw the dealer is around $650 because it has cat built into it. Search for someone the board that had a set of headers installed. They should have their stock y-pipe laying around. I picked one up for $65 shipped, had it installed for about $40.
