There can be several reasons why your 3" exhaust can bang around under the car. The first and probly most prominent problem is the rubber connectors for the hangers being worn and/or stretched. This allows for more movement of the piping. Common trouble spots are around the axle, the tips, and probly most prominent, the pipe hitting the rear suspension components such as the phr. new rubber parts should fix the problem, or you can have extended hangers put on, limiting exhaust movement, but this will add extra stress to the hanger itself as well as the piping, ect. A second reason for exhaust banging is the tips. if the tips aren't clearanced properly, the ey will hit the bottom's of your rear bumper. lastly, if the s-pipe is not fitted correctly w/ the proper amount of bend where it is needed, it will hit against the floorpan. Just some helpful info for those who have any of these problems.
