The Ultimate Exhaust Comparison, Stock vs. TSP Rumbler! W/ Videos!

[Question]

Just wanted to give you guys a little comparison between stock 3.8 exhaust, to the TSP Rumbler with High flow Catco6007 and 3" S-Pipe. Just want to help you guys out with comparisons. Comments and suggestions on what I can do to improve the videos please!

This clip will give you an idea of how loud it is, by showing how the sound changes as it gets further away.

does the TSP come with a 3" I-pipe? if it does, great. if it doesnt, id say get one so you can be 3" throughout.

yea the rumbler is 3 inches untill the rear axel, where it spilts into two pipes, then it slims down to 2.5. cant wait to hear the rumbler

Interesting, when free-revving even the stock exhaust sounds like crap! Just goes to show you that idling and free-revving sound clips don't really give an accurate sound of an exhaust system.

I have the exact exhaust that you are going to put on your car and I am quite pleased with it. It will be VERY loud when you first get it, just give it a chance to burn in and it will settle down.

Also, it is NOT a direct bolt-on, make sure you have it installed by someone willing to take the time to do some slight fabrication to get it installed correctly so you have proper ground clearance. When installed correctly the Rumbler should give you the same clearance as the stock exhaust (minus a tad for the bigger diameter pipe). If your installer needs a hint tell them to cut an inch or two off the forward facing part of the over axle pipe, this will allow them to pull everything up against the car.

Well, I plan on going to a reputable shop. I don't plan on going to "Joez MufflUr" or similar. I've called around, and I will probably end up going to Midas or Meineke or similar. A shop with more experiance. I haven't had any clearence issues as of yet, my car is not lowered and I don't plan on lowering it as of now. I will make sure they do it right though, wont let them walk all over me like they sometimes try to do.

I also plan to have a before and after sound clip of before the "break-in" period. Hopefully all goes well, we shall see on Monday!

mjparme- you said that you need to have a reputable place install a rumbler? i just got the rumbler catback, car is stock otherwise, and i was planning on just having a knowledgable friend help me with the install. is it really that much different from other catbacks?

Sounds real good at idle, and sounds good at WOT, aside from a bit of rasp. Decent amount of high way drone right now, but it hasnt been broken in yet. Even the exhaust shop said it will quiet down a lot. It is really loud right now. Overall I am pleased!
