I have the Flowmaster 80 series on right now and it sounds like *** . I will be getting headers in a couple of weeks and want the loudest, best exhaust for my car. A Magnaflow muffler is what I have settled on, but don't know about a cat. Thoughts? Also, is there any way to make my exhaust system larger overall like 3"? I have a 1999 3.8 Firebird. THANKS!!

SWEET! My name is Tom. My cell is 312-0123. Give me a shout sometime. I'm going to Indiana this weekend (LS1 Motorsports) to get a lid, MAFT, 160 degree t-stat, and FTRA.

How did you install the loudmouth on the 3.4. I may do it when I get some more $$$$ if it's not to hard. Can you do it in the garage.

I took it to a shop b/c i don't have a way to lift the car; but the installation is all bolt on, so its pretty easy from what i've heard. If you do it yourself get the 3" high flow cat and it makes it a lot easier to fit all the pipes. You also need the v6 installation kit; its ~$60-70 if i remember correctly. It took the shop less than 2 hrs. for the whole cat-back and the new high flow cat.

The Loudmouth is a 3" setup, so yes pretty much the entire exhaust you have now will no longer be 2 1/4" but instead 3". Also you don't use a separate muffler for this system; it has a resonator that takes the place of a muffler (Pipe just gets wider for about a foot or so; pretty much straight through piping) so its real loud, but legal. Just be careful by cops, trust me i know. ;)

nitrox do you have just the muffler or a full catback? I suggest listening to mine before you decide to junk your entire system. But hey, it's all about personal preference.
They sound good, but my 80 series sounds AWFUL!! I'm used to my 40 Series/no cat setup on my Jeep Grand Cherokee. I's a 6 cylinder also, but sounds MEAN! I am after something that is piss you off, in your face, window shaking LOUD! :D :D
