  • What is that rattle in my intake???

I have a rattle that is barely noticable coming from the airfilter(box.) If, however, I take off the airfilter assembly, and I'm looking at the throttle butterfly w/engine running the rattling is very much louder, what might it be?

Take if off and see if something is broken off inside. Its fairly simple to remove the stock airbox/intake.

I have no idea... could the TB itself be loose? or the screen? is the throttle response normal? maybe its one of the cables?
describe the sound... rattling? is it like a marble inside a glass jar? or like two peices of metal clanking?? Im really at a loss for what this is...

Thanx, I'd mostly given up... I've removed the MAF screen, and with the intake pipe totally removed and the engine idleing, there is the sound like a couple of marbles bouncing around in the throttle body.

It might just be the sound of air being sucked into the throttle body. Mine just sounds like the "Forced Air" ram air kit on Corvettes. Sounds sweet to me.
