  • Magnaflow Catback Deal

Hey, does anyone own a Magnaflow muffler or Catback? I ran a cross a deal (this is open to all of you) for a brand new Magnaflow Catback System for $300. Seems like and excellent deal. That is for V6 or for V8 (different part #s of course).

That is a good deal if its the catback I am thinking of. I thought they list for $550 range. It looks to me like a nice catback. Every magnaflow muffler I have heard on other cars is quieter than most other mufflers. And its 2.5 inch mandrel bent which is about the right size for our cars. Its worth a shot I would think. I dont know anyone around here that has it but maybe you will be the first.

I have a magnaflow muffler and i think it sounds great, i dont have the catback kit but i bet it would be awsome. Magnaflow is a good muffler from my experience.

i have a magnaflow cat-back 2.5". I like cold starts and reving it slowly, sounds real nice. not gurgly or deep, but smooth.. stomp on it and it makes some kind of loud buzzing like a propeller plane (does not sound nice). after it warms up, you CAN NOT hear the muffler at idle. my car is getting painted right now and i'm yet to redline it. i'm thinking of getting a spintech muffler, as i hear they're real nice. BTW my car came with magnaflow when i bought it, so no real loss there. hope this helps

i have the magnaflow cat back system. i like it a lot. at first though it sounded really ricy but now since it has broken in a bit more it is starting to sound real good, quiet at idle but loud when opened up. people hear coming down the street when i don't punch it

well, if you say it needs to be broken in, i'll give it a chance before i get to buying the spintech. don't let me change your mind, the muffler must sound good when driving, just not reving high in neutral.

Yes I agree. I thought I wasted my money when I first used my magnaflow. A month later, it sounds good. Everyone always asks me what kind of exhaust I have. I just have the muffler too, cat and I pipe yet to come. TRUST ME!!! Let it break in! It takes a while.
