  • CIA headers?

would a 3 inch y pipe be ok on a na engine or would it kill the low end torque?
    no fate but what we make<br /><a href=\"http://www.cardomain.com/memberpage/748167/1\" target=\"_blank\">http://www.cardomain.com/memberpage/748167/1</a>

Where the y-pipe meets the cat is already 3". Our stock cats, as I have heard, are 3" in and 2.25" out.

a 3" y-pipe won't kill all of the torque, but you will notice a hit in the low rpm's.. high rpm's on the other hand will benefit greatly.

Check out my ad in the for sale section for pics of the CIA headers with y-pipe ;)

No way!, I have seen the y-pipe for the RK Sport headers and it is like 2" or something rediculous like that. It is really small compared to the y-pipe of the CIA headers, not to mention the CIA y-pipe is mandrel bent which is really nice!! CIA is the way to go if you have the money. If you don't, save your money for it, trust me.

well i had debated going ahead and getting a custom y pipe made for the time and maybe being the guinie pig for the pace setters. but im not sure i dont want to loose any low end power cause of that 3 inch y pipe

A non forced induction V6 doesnt need 3" piping it doesnt flow enough air, kills the exhaust velocity.
