Well i plan on begining the mods to my camaro. The first thing will be pacesetter painted headers high flow cat (the only reasion i want this is i heard it cuts down on rasp tehy dont check for them down her if it dosent its definently going) tsp rumbler. Then k&n filter whisper lid and the austin ram air kit. Does these sound like good starter mods. How much hp will this bring me and about how many tenths of a second. just trying to find out if it worth the money. thanks

the ram air is the one you could probably do without. other than that, great plans.

what year is your car?
a4 or m5?
what gears are in it?
(check the door codes, it will be in the format guX, when it is gu6, you have 3.42's, gu5 is 3.23's if im not mistakem, gu4 is 3.08's. please correct me if im wrong people!)

you will probably lose 5 tenths of a second. depending on those questions.

you sound like me. i dont have time to work, so the money i get is scarce.

get some gears. i would go with 3.42's at lowest, you will see pretty good gains with those, very good gains with 3.73's.

after that just get a catback and a lid. if you have money left, do a high flow cat. then if you have an extra $800 or so, do coated headers. you will notice more of a gain from the headers than people with 2000+.

so gears would give me the best gains for the money. i might just get an exhaust from a local shop i think i can get 3 inch flowmaster 80 series duals for like 210 installed and they mandrel bend. that is what they charged to do my truck when i had it. what about cutting the cat

well, i ran 15.28 bone stock with the 3.42's i had from the factory. most people run in 15.4-15.5, so just going from 3.08-3.42 is a tenth or two. 3.73s will be even more. they dont cost a lot either. i dont even have LSD from the factory, so when you do gears, if you get one of them, which you would prolly do, its even more.

What is your engine spinning when you're doing around 60-70? Most of my driving is on an expressway, and I'm doing 60-70 the whole way. I've considered shorter gears, but I don't want to spend a lot on gas.

I guess this isn't the proper place, but since we're on the subject...

i dont know what im at when im cruising at 60 or 70. if i take a highway tomorrow, ill check. if not, im sure other people do.
if you have an m5, i think you have 3.23s. you could go up to 3.73s without losing the gas mileage.

I have a M5 and 80mph is 2.5K rpm for me.

I really want lower geared gears...
