It look like every body has the same problem, to be original I had it to LOL. What it was on mine the pipe going in to the muffler was rusted, right in from the muffler, I couden tell until one day the muffler pipe fully rusted and fell of one hanger the left,

If I ware you first I would check that pipe is the on that that runs from your cat to ur muffler right were it meets it.

What I had to do is get a cutback exaust witch is very nice *** sun s I get a camera man (friend ) I will do a walk true the car

Probably all these rattling noises all you hear are different for everyone's car. I have experience two kind of noises. One was from the converter when my car had less than 50 000 miles. The chevy dealer replace it for a newone for free (warranty). Later, I heard a difference noise. It was just a lose clamp that the muffler guy fixed for free. Now I am having again the same noise like the first one. It looks like I'm gonna need to take the car back to the dealership to check the converter's warranty or will need a high flow converter.

I would bet money that its the cat. Unless your putting a high flow cat on to replace it and if you have less than 80K miles on your car then the GM dealer has to replace it free of charge. Same thing happened to me so i brought it to the dealer with a catco cat and asked them to use that cat and they refused. I was like "look u can use my cat which is 100% legal and only have to cover labor or u can pay for a new stock cat and put it on and ill rip it off in a month or 2 to put this catco cat on." Its really ridiculass how everybody has to do everything by the book. No one has no comon sence and cant make decisions for them selves. But yea....its the cat IMO.

Im having the same problem, I just got a new Flowmaster muffler and when i rev it it rattles. My friend pushed down on my exhaust tips and i tried again and there was no rattle. I think my problem has something to do with the hangers

when it happened to me it turned out to be the Cat. Convertor and it needed replacement which Chevy did free even though the warranty was over

I have this same problem. I have crawled under my car many times and checked every inch and i am almost 95% sure that i popped a weld in the resenator. there is a plate with holes seperating the pipe and the box on the resenator and that it what i think is rattling.
