ok...first, is the muffler dual out? if so, what are you going to do? are you going to run only one pipe out? second, i dont think the 40 is the best sounding for our cars but thats up to you. the size you choose is fine but you need to get one thats single in, dual out. the cat is also fine. and last, what about the rest of your system? are you not going to do the full cat back before you try to put on a cat? if so, i would recommend you use your money on a real cat back or putting one together yourself before you deal with a high flow cat.

i want to run two pipes out.

I was wondering why the 40 series isnt the best for our cars, I want a Flowmaster muffler though, which one would be best? 80 series?

40 sounds better in my opinion.

Yeah, I would think the 80 series is quieter because its meant for a V8, plus the 40 series I have in mind is a GEN II Delta Flow. I still dont know what size to choose for the cat, 2.25", 2.50" or 3".

match the size of the cat to whatever your piping size is. If you get it bigger than your pipes are, you have to weld in a reducer. In other words, it only makes sense to get a 2.75" cat if you have 2.75" pipes to put the cat in.

stock piping is 2.25 after the cat, and probably either 3 or 2.75 before. im not sure on a 3.4... if you ever plan on going with a full exhaust i suggest you look into grabbing a intermediate pipe off a v8 (this is the pipe after the cat... you will still need an s pipe to go from your cat to the i pipe... a lot of people make this spipe by buying a 3inch u pipe from jegs or somwehere and having it cut in half and flipped and welded back together to shape the "S") ... this will be the perfect size/fit for your car and you should be able to find a great deal on one. that 3 inch in muffler and 2.5 out will need a reducer to work with your car, but an exhaust shop should be able to get it working fine. everyone is going ot say though, if your going to do exhaust, you should to it all at once (maybe excluding headers/ypipe). i pieced mine together cause i was just a poor highschool kid at the time, and i'd have saved myself a lot of trouble had i not.

Im a poor high school kid right now, spending all my birthday money, lol. I really appreciate all the advice. I went with the 40 Super Series delta flow, the magnaflow cat and I got a 2 pc intake. Hopefully this will all satisfy me for a little bit, haha.
