No, you will need a lid for a 3800 motor. They are made by a company called Whisper

Physically, the lid would fit on your airbox. However, you would have to modify the outlet of the lid to run your tube to the TB. I really don't think it would be worth the effort.

Just go with a Whisper Lid. Or, you could shave the fins on your existing lid. If your worried about messing it up, I have a stocker from a 98 I could let you have cheap.

The smooth lids just have the fins taken out, right? Is there any other difference? So, if I get a Dremel, I can make one myself?

Sure, it'll work just fine. The 98 whisper lids come with a flexible dryer ducting type hose anyway to mate up to the angled throttle body. You'd just have to purchase a similar piece of hose to use the LS1 lid. The only difference is that the outlet of the V6 lid is offset to the right since the TB is not straight down the center of the motor.

Still, a V6 lid would probably be cheaper in the end, and come with this hose.

The ammount of tubing you would need to use and the sharp bends you would have to have pretty much defeats the purpose of the new lid. Just go with the Whisper.
