  • wierd noise from my exhuast

    whenever i rev the car up to like 4500 it makes this wierd rattling/crackling/anger bee's on steroids? its definatly from the exhuast but i dont know wat it is. this is with my stock exhuast to not the masters
    2001 camaro a4 SOM vert <br />3800 series II <br />flowmasters american thunder <br />3.42 gears<br /><br />its not fast but i drive it like a natural beast

    A baffle may have broken loose inside of the muffler, causing the strange rattle. Replacement is basically the only way to fix it.

      It could be your license plate rattling. Seriously, that happened to me, it was the same noise you described. Where the bottom bolts would go, there were no holes in the car so it just rattled. It sounded like an exhaust problem though.

        Doesnt the rev-limiter kick in around 4500 in neutral? Is this what you might be hearing?

          its not thr rev limiter, ill see if its the lisence plate. i havent intalled the flowmasters yet so if it is my exhuast it should go away.

            It doesn't take quite 4500 to get it going, more like 1500, but mine rattles, and it's my cat. I'm getting it replaced next week.

              ok i checked the license plate and thats not it so i found it was in the muffler so it should go away when i install my flowmasters
