  • 3" Cat & 3" Exhaust

    Catalytic converter
    Mfg# 2517 by Catco
Has O2 sensor in back, 3" in and 3" out, and is OBDII compliant.
    Summit part # CTO-2517 cost $ 66.69

    3" Exhaust
    Mfg# 5658 by Edelbrock
3" in muffler with dual 2.5" out for 95-97 V6 which can be used on all v6's.
You will need to get a 3" straight pipe, as the "I" pipe included is reduced in the middle to fit the v6 smaller diameter. Only about 2' is needed. Shop will have this. The pipes over and around the rear are 3" mandrel bent.
    Jegs part # 350-5658 cost $ 279.99

    "S" pipe
    Mfg Hooker
A 3" mandrel bend "U" pipe is needed to make the "S" pipe. Just cut it in half and flip one piece and weld together. This is a perfect fit.
    Jegs part # 289-42323 cost $ 18.99

    Total cost for a true 3" all mandrel bent cat-back $ 365.67
    @ $ 100.00 bucks for labor. Grand total $ 465.67

If you live in or near Chicago, I can tell you where to get it done.

The sound is a little loud for my taste, but this is only on full throttle. It is a deep sound, but I did the work for the 3" exhaust.

No check engine light light will come on. Have put over 300 miles on the car since the installation of the 3" cat and exhaust.

You can find the Catco cat at other places in stock, but they will cost a bit more, if you don't want to wait.

you'll be waiting a while. That cat is out of stock. Try the Cto-6007 any local exhaust shop can install a bung in the pipe for the sensor. It has a air tube on the cat but its capped. 6007 is cheaper and is also 3 inch plus its in stock.
