what do you put in place of the air silencer if you remove it I tryed the dryer duct and it kept f@cking up

Nothing - too much work. Whisper lid is probably the easiest thing to do, but I don't like the flimsy tube they use. doesn't work w/ a 98 b/c it has an angled throttle body. they changed it in 99.
