• The Smell of a new muffler.

Doesn't it smell good. I just installed a new dynomax super turbo muffler. It sounds great. Not earth rattling, and no droning. Just nice powerfull mellow sound.

The exhuast shop wanted to charge me 2 hours of labor to just replace my muffler and weld on my tips. He said I would need to relocate my hangers, he would have to custom bend some tailpipes, and a lot of other BS. I wasn't going to spend 150 bucks for them to play around with my pipes.

It took me only 1/2 an hour, to do the install my self with clamps. Everything is lined up, so now I gotta go back and see how much he wants to charge me to weld the joints. This way, he doesn't have to adjust anything. How much should he charge to make 4 welds, weld the tailpipes to the muffler, and the tips to the tailpipes.

I am keeping the I-pipe clamped, because I will be replacing that with a V8 takeoff soon, so there is no point getting it welded. Sorry for the long post, I just got excited. :D :D

yeah that is good stuff... yeah the place i had mine done charged me $150 but they made the pipes for the tips and welded the tips on, it looks perfect. around here depending where you go, they'll charge you $10-$15 per weld, and i have the LT1 i-pipe, its a little heavier than the stock one, and i have the stock rubber hangers, so the pass. side hangs down a little lower then the driver side, i need to get those fockers welded, and what tips did you go with?

The tips I have are Crome 18" long 3.5" wide slash cut tips. I will post pics when it is done.

Cost me $37.50 to have my stock taken off and my LS1 Borla installed. Only took 10 minutes to install it and line up the tips! ;)

I don't know what your talking about, but when I got my exhaust system on it smelled like hot *** for 3 days. It was so bad it was sickening. Nothing good about that at all.

Well it doesn't smell like roses, but it smells like a new muffler, and new mods to my car are good, therefore the smell of my new muffler is good. I wasn't being entirely literal.

            But I my Dynomax!
