  • Emissions Test

now i know that all of the emissions tests are different between the states, but my car is throwing the egr valve code, and i know this involves the exhaust so i was wondering if this would prevent me from passing an average emissions test with an egr valve that isnt functioning properly?

The malfunctioning EGR could cause you to fail, but what's even more likely to fail you is the SES light.

they dont check any ses lights here they just hook something up to the exhaust pipe and drive

do you think that if i used seafoam on my valve it would be a temporary fix to pass emissions? i have tried it before and i didnt get an ses light for like a week and then it started up again, would i be able to seafoam it and then take it to emissions and pass before it starts acting up again?

How would you use sea foam on your egr valve? If the valve is bad its bad and need to be replaced.
