  • exhaust restrictions?

sup, so i'm puttin on a full exhaust next summer, i was gonna do tru dual but it sounded too difficult and too much bottoming out for me so i'm just gonna go 3".
so heres my q: i'm looking for a good loud system with minimal rasping and low restriction. (isnt everyone?) so i was trying to determine if i should go with a stocky kind muffler (flowmaster) or a straight through kind (magnaflow) and let one pipe go unmuffled. my stock cat is coming out. that thing is getting broken AGAIN, and i'm sick of dealing with them. if i put a straight through muff in its place would that help with the rasping?

I'm sort of biased, but I reccomend the Rumbler. Check out the link in my sig.

well, i'm lookin into a turbo in this summer or next. since i'll be moving as much air as an LS1, i should have the exhaust size to match. i got a 2000 so the tubular manifold should keep me clean for now and i dont know how the turbo kit will mate up just yet so i dont wanna buy headers and then realize they need to be custom made to fit on the turbo. oh btw, nice pic, love yeagermeister (however u spell it)

hey dom this is what im doing soon..

i've got pacesetters, 3 inch exhaust and flowmaster muffler. no cat.

what im going to do very soon is add a 14 inch bullet muffler of X Brand and put it where the cat goes.

i'll get a sound clip as soon as i can when its finished
