Well Ive got good news and bad news.

The good news is, Mad Hatter can and will be doing it.

The bad news is, I've gotta wait one week. I drove 250 miles round trip to find that out... lol but it was worth it, since they can do it. $200 labor is what we agreed on, that includes piping... so my total cost is coming out around $470.

dude thats a lot of $$$ man. You already have most of piping. I don't see much more being needed, mainly just the extension from the driver side primary.

My ENTIRE x-pipe setup w/mufflers and welding costs about $450

Remember, Im going over the axle. I think $200 is very fair for the work they will be doing.

Am I missing something here? You're planning on going out the back, which would mean that both pipes need to go side-by-side on the passenger side, then over the axle, then to tips that exit at the bumper? While not extremely difficult, that price doesn't seem outrageous for a custom muffler shop who doesn't know you on a personal level. Other alternative is that each pipe goes over the axle on it's respective side, which is much more difficult, but a little easier than most since you're using such small pipe. IMO $470 for duals out the back, with cats, doesn't sound bad at all. Most places charge like $300 just for a normal dumped dual setup (with bullets). The couple places I've tried for duals out the back with 2.5" pipe wanted at least $500 including mufflers and tips.

Thats correct, and its actually more difficult and problematic to go over both sides of the axle due to the driver's having wiring, a lower and an upper panhard rod, and a bunch of other crap in the way So Im going over the passenger only, and they're going to do a very nice and clean job for me.

Remember guys, most cheap catbacks are $270 + install + tips + a new cat. You're looking at somewhere around
$270 catback
$55 catco cat
$50 tips
$100 install

And Im paying roughly the same amount, getting 2 cats, 2 mufflers, 2 stainless tips, and full dual out the back. Why go catback? :D

over the axle definately adds a lot more $$$$.

I just dump before it.

Please definetly bug me, Im bugged, Im psyched, and I would post more but I might get banned because of post whoring *ahem*

In any case I'd like to add one more thing. I'm going to say it loudly so you all understand.

MY 2002 V6 CAMARO HAS THREE O2 SENSORS.
THE FIRST TWO O2 SENSORS ARE LOCATED IN THE MANIFOLDS.
THE LAST O2 SENSOR IS LOCATED BEHIND THE CAT.
THERE WILL BE NO ISSUE WITH O2s USING MY SETUP, THE ONE BEHIND THE CAT IS SIMPLY LOOKING FOR A GOOD CAT/BAD CAT SIGNAL, AND THE FRONT ONES WHICH CONTROL MY MIXTURE WILL BE UNAFFECTED BY MY EXHAUST MOD.

Thank you. :D

I figured you were taking both pipes over the passenger side, like you said it's very difficult to do one on each side. I thought that maybe since you were only using 2.25" piping you'd have barely enough clearance, but I guess not. It can be done with your size pipe and with some heat shielding, etc., but not worth it for what you want/need. I know all about the obstructions of the driver's side. I almost went 3" mandrel duals over the axle and just removed the upper panhard bar (has been done many times), but I've got a somewhat large fuel pump sitting on the rear passenger's footwell getting in my way. :D

Quick question Dom, is there any type of crossover between the 2 pipes? Like an H or X pipe. Just to let you know i was ponding the exact same thing as far as the dual exhaust design that you came up with. I am glad to see somebody is doing it. Can't wait to hear it. ;)
