You can put in a crossover however it will change the sound quite a bit. I might add a crossover in the future, but I want to try straight pipes first... they have a very distinctive sound that a crossover ruins. I mean, who wants their car to sound like a mustang? :D

I want my car to sound like a GT (or as close as i can get it), that is why headers are planed for my car in the near future. ;)

i personally think true duals with an X pipe sounds better, it smooths out the sounds, but i guess to each his own...

fyi, I hears a mustang 3.8 w/duals and it wasn't that great at all.. in fact it was worse than the best y-pipe setup. It had a lot of flutter and sounded like a lawnmower/helicopter hybrid.

I don't have high expectations for the sound Dominic but someone has to be a first to find out what really happens.

The Mustang LX (3.8) only comes with a single pipe out the back, just like we do. The GT (4.6)
comes with a true dual. Either way - 3.8 mustangs are dogs and they sound like crap- even with an aftermarket exhaust system.

Thats why its good to be a V6 F-Body Owner!

Heres a happy dance for all us V6 F-Body'ers!

Edit- I just want to say that it has been 1 yr since Ive joined CamaroV6/FireBirdv6.com, and I'm happy to see that our group is always growing. Every time I check a performance post, someone comes up with a new idea to improve the way our cars run. People like this guy are the true innovators who dare to be different and improve what we allready have. Keep it up!

I was under the impression that the 3.8 came the same as the GT.

I've heard a V6 stang that sounded badass. A million times better than any V6 fbody exhaust system. I don't know if was duals, but it sounded great, I thought it was a debadged GT until I raced him and slaughtered him by like 3 cars(it was an auto).

It was still probably a GT
