• besides the mufflers, cats and tips is there anything else that could be bought to make it easier for the shop to put it on?

Anything special to tell the shop?

Uh.. Like 80% of this board has that. They did nothing new or ultimate.

• As you know Im very honest so I'll tell you the slight few problems I found so far. I love the system, but during welding he went through 2 welding tips. When his first one went out, he left a very very slight leak on the left hand pipe, and I can hear it and feel it under the car. Not to worry though, it will be fixed Friday.

A few other things worth mentioning, the piping over the right side axle is about 1/2" too low and when going over speedbumps as I mentioned earlier, it clanks on it. Im having him raise that too, even if it means pulling the heat shield... another no biggie.

The last thing, its really loud. I mean, it set off car alarms. The neighbor above me told me it sounded just effing awesome, verbatim "My girlfriend said wow it doesnt sound like he's got a can on there, its just effing MEAN". I also had a flowmaster on my previous firebird, and it sounds a lot better than that. Revving at idle produces a clear rumble then slight vette-sidepipesound pop, then a clean rumble to idle. Its very nice, but isn't mellow enough for me yet.

Since theyre doing additional work on the system Friday, I ordered 2 bullet mufflers to add to the rear. I feel the tone is right, I just want less, I want a more refined tone of what I already have, and then I'll quit

I will try to get a soundclip up soon, however I am sick and very busy with school, so you guys might have to wait longer... my apologies for that.

Its like no other V6 sound on the planet, thats for sure. :D

Oh well, hope you feel better soon!

To the exhaust.....

How loud? What kind of gains do you think?
What is the Diameter of those mufflers, 4"?

I as thinking of a 2.25" True Dual as well!

But I will will use different products.
Most likley, Magnaflow

Cats, Resonators, and Straight thru Mufflers.

HURRY WITH THAT CLIP! ;)

• Yup, doing it

After having the hooker (which rattles because of a crappy install, need to remove my tunnel brace) I've kinda gotten used to loud.

I'll dump it at the axle at first though & then do some side exits

Great job man!

Edit: Can you tell me where all your hangars are & what they are attached to?

• Yeah I will be taking more photos to show you where all my hangars are.

Essentially if you look at all the photos you can find them but I'll make it easy.

There are only 4 hangers on the whole system... two in the rear, two in the front. The front ones are just after the cats... They are side by side so its run like a mirror image of the stock piping. The rear two hangers on either subframe are stiff hangers, not stock hangers, and keep the system solid as a rock.

The sweet thunder mufflers are 18" long (24" total) and I dont recommend going with ANYTHING longer or wider. They're approx 3" total pipe width, and anything bigger just isn't going to fit flush with the car... Its super tight up there.

I will go ahead right now and make a preliminary clip, but I can't promise beauty yet since I don't have my resonators on. I mean, realisitcally it isn't too loud for some of you, but for me and especially if you love cruising at 80+mph, its just a lot of sound. Outside its less than inside, so I hope the resonators give me a little drop in sound volume.

The sound wouldn't be so loud had the mufflers went in the rear of the car, but being in the middle it has that nascar sound .

Im gonna go do that clip now, or try. Wish me luck.
