Sounds pretty mean at idle, good stuff. I want another MP3 of it with the bullets on there and then some WOT action too :D

Bawhahaha, I love it. Thats the funniest thing I've read all day.
Anyways, Dom, it sounds really good. i can't wait to hear the clips of the finished product.1997 Cayenne Red Metallic Camaro<br />3.8 V6 M5<br />SLP Cold Air Intake<br />Ceramic Coated Pacesetter Headers <br />Flowmaster American Thunder Catback<br />Full 3.42 & Disc Break Rear End Swap

Yes Im adding bullets to reduce the sound... Since they're after the mufflers they shouldn't alter anything other than the volume and cleanlyness of the sound. It sounds great right now, but I'd like it to be about 3 to 6db quieter and this should do it. I'm already having a weld redone and a tip moved (free) so I figure I'll go ahead and do it. This will be the final change to it.
The cats are not flanged, they're welded, so they're not removeable. It would be interesting to hear what its like without cats, but thats something I'll let someone else do in the future.
The resonance or ring in the pipe will be fixed by the bullets... I'd like to keep it going all the way through the back, however that is a good idea for someone else to try. ;) Typically the longer the piping though, the quieter the exhaust. The reason mine is fairly loud is because (Im saying this again for the thousandth time) the mufflers are not in the rear of the car. If they were in the absolute rear, GMMG style, they'd be far quieter. The resonators should put it at a "normal" volume level without getting rid of the true dual sound.<hr></blockquote>
I'm thinking of doing the same thing only with 2.5 inch true duals. I'm just wondering about any possible clearance issues. How much different would it be? Anyway ^5 for getting it done Dom

I've seen it done with 2.5s but god almighty was 2.25" enough of a squeeze as it is.
Im going to have my pipe raised however so that it isnt so much of a squeeze, I guess the guy thought 1" of clearance over the axle was enough?...
Basically, you end up having to remove the rear heat shield to get the extra few inches of clearance for piping. Dual 2.5" over the axle has been done on LS1s so it could be done for your car, however I think its overkill for ya.2002 5-spd NBM Camaro

It sounds different but i am unsure about the sound myself. Sounds good none the less. The bullets should help "smooth" out the exhaust note, which should help out the sound tremdously. Also i think an H-pipe would be a good help too. Nice work tho, looks awesome! :D

I think I will be doing true duals soon.
Here's what I want my setup to be-
RKSport headers, High flow cats (where did you get yours, and how much?), Chambered Mufflers, X-Pipe (can they make that one fit my car, or do I need a certain one), and then the SLP dual kit (the one like the SLP Quad kit, but the one for the SS is the one I'll be getting).
Does that setup sound good? If there needs to be any changes, just post them please.
Hopefully I can get this done over Christmas break.2002 Camaro SS, 6 speed, SLP Loudmouth, TR 224/224 Camshaft(valvetrain upgraded), Pro 5.0 shifter / Hurst classic black knob.

I would get an H-pipe over an X-pipe. The X pipe tends to give you more of a high pitched sound and is really not needed on an even fire V6, like what ours are. Now an H-pipe will smooth out the sound and will not sound high pitched like the X-pipe. For cats you can go with the catcos from summitracing, only 50 bucks each.2004 Dodge Dakota 3.7 litres of raw power!!<br />Nothing but a 6!<br />Do you know for sure? John 3:18

And say just get an LS1 swap, it's cheaper and you'll be faster to start with blah blah blah. Me and a lot of other people get the impression that you think your Mr. big stuff. Last time I checked this is CamaroV6/FirebirdV6.com.
You like your LS1 better than your V6, fine good for you, don't come around here acting like you're better than everone else, because you have an LS1, or even because you hold the record for the fastest V6.

I wanted to mention this in that other thread, but it got locked before I could. I go to some other F-body boards, and in the very small V6 section, I see Magnus answering almost everybodies question. He's not the V8 sell-out you make him out to be.
Dominic, for doing something no one on this board has done yet. It's always nice to see the F-body V6 market expanding. Like everyone already requested, I too am looking forward to hearing the car at WOT. It's sometimes hard to find a good shop that would do that type of quality work on a V6.
I didn't read every response in this thread yet, so if someone asked this already, oh well, answer it again Do you get a lot of popping while you let off the gas?94 Camaro 3.4 A4 <br />T-Tops<br />In the process of an LS1 swap.

that could take me hours. i'll do my best to find the posts about them. the person had some ugly *** mufflers sticking on the back. he didn't have the nice setup as this. he didn't like the sound so he went back to the normal Y pipe setup.\'96 <b>Quasar Blue</b> Firebird A4<br /><a href=\"http://jamiethekiller@comcast.net\" target=\"_blank\"><i>jamiethekiller@comcast.net</i></a><br /><a href=\"http://www.woodlandrock.com\" target=\"_blank\">my band: woodland</a>
