1) For awhile I was running just open Y (which is basically like a cutout, but open Y is more flow). Can running Open-Y, Open-headers, open-cutout or something like that hurt your Engine Exhaust Valves? I've heard that no backpressure can, but I've seen many people run Open-headers!

2) how can people like rallyred say dont mix up the exhaust sizes? i know it will create a bottleneck, but I see it as still having the same backpressure, the velocity is affected, but not backpressure.
besides, the stock exhaust has a bottleneck.
the headers are like 2.15" (real small)
the y pipe turns into a 3"
the cat is 3" in and 2.25 out
then the rest of the exhaust (cat-back) is 2.25"

i'm trying to create a venturi effect to increase velocity of my exhaust!

I think ive heard that it burns the exhaust valves and after time it will damage the valves.
