  • Calling all 3.8's with Ravin Exhaust, important!

Well, I'm ditching my borla, if they don't take it back I'll sell it. It rattles too much, and now that i have my hiflo cat, it's rice.

My question is, I already have 3in piping coming from my cat, should I leave it on and put in the Ravin muffler, or get a whole ravin cat-back (even though I dont think they sell ravin catbacks)

How does the sound line up with other exhausts on 3.8s, specifically dynomax and borla. Is there any rice, or popping noise? borla gets high pitches and starts crackling when you get to 4,000 before you shift, and when you left off the gas it pops really bad.

I'm sure there isn't any, but if you know of sound clips please link.

I dont' think they have a cat=back system. Just leave your 3" ipipe etc in and put on the Ravin muffler. I have the z55, but my plan is to replace it with the z33 for a deeper sound.

I can't tell you how it compares to other v6 exhaust, but i love it, and it impresses a lot of people. If you want some sound clips, check out this link at my website. They were recorded with a digital camera with it's internal mic so they're not perfect, but it'll give you an idea.

Actually they do have a catback system, send them an e-mail and they will give you the part number and a dealer near you. I just have the Z55 and some huge tips.

Im impressed. That raven exhaust sounds great. How big were your pipes in the sound clip?

            Is it loud?
