Turns out that the most likely cause of oil being in the throttle body is via the PCV system putting it there. I dont like that at all, so I went looking for a fix to the problem. I found this setup from Accurate Machine Works that is an inline catch can for the oil from the PCV with internals designed to prevent the oil from coming back up into the tract from the can. Expensive, but everything that I have read about it from other forums is 100% positive on the completeness of the kit and the quality of the product. This is for those of us who have a little money to spend and dont like the idea of oil vapor and buildup going BACK into the motor via the intake, like me. :D

Greddy also makes a similar setup, for cheaper too, around $100-110. However, from what I've read about both, there are differences. The Greddy can apparently has crappy lines with it and supposedly the can is just that, an empty can. The PCV valve lets oil AND vapor through and the above can has a condensing mesh for the vapor and undercuts to prevent the oil from returning up into the intake tract. Apparently, the Greddy can has neither. There is one on Ebay now too, check it out, it says the same stuff about condensing and the returnless setup versus just a hollow can to hold stuff.

I don't think those would work on our cars. We've got an internal PCV system, with none of the external ports that it needs.Matt

Yea 3.8 people are kinda SOL in that field, however us 3.4L people have something to look for considering our pcv's are still located in the driver's side valve cover.1995 Arctic White Camaro. 3.4L/A4<br /><br />\"Stupid men make mistakes, wise men learn from mistakes\"
