I am going to have the motor apart very soon. I am planning on making some upper intake spacers. Few questions:
How thick should they be???
Should they block the coolant lines?
If so, will the coolant still circulate throught the rest of the motor ok???

If you mean like the one zzp has I'd advise against it. Our intakes are designed totally different than the FWD L36. The way our intake runners are designed a spacer between the upper and lower intakes would only disrupt the air flow.

Keith (Seppo) you really feel that way? You're the first to come against the intake spacer (how do you feel about the TB spacer? Not calling out, just curious as my interest has grown for the homegrown (not zzp) intake spacer.

The TB spacer is a good choice. As far as the intake spacer: The runners are are at an angle. The spacer is straight. If you change the runner to angle, straight, angle; rather than just one smooth angle. I'm positive the air will not flow like it was designed to.
Any small gain that is possible via lengthing the runner will be negated 2 times by the turblence created by the spacer.
Thats my 2 cents.

angle or no angle on the spacer it won't really matter because the runners will not lign up straight anymore due to the space in between them below is an illustration
