  • Best intake, lid?

I am helping a friend hook up his 1998 V6. I worked general repair on a few and noticied that a 1998 inparticular, the throttle body sets off at a wierd angle! It all lines up wierd. He deffiently needs 'something' aftermarket. Would an Air Lid pretty much eleminate all the stock crap? All the big extra air pockets and everything????

I tried to make a custom intake with some turbo style pipe and a cone filter but there just isnt enough room to route it.

yes, the 98' has an angled throttle body and they make whisper lids just for that year which will help out by smoothing things out and getting ride of the silencer box but the angle wont go away. he's just stuck with that ****.

wow, ok. ill advise him to go ahead and get an air lid. That with filter, me hacking up the stock airbox of needless restrictions will be good enough.
