I have a summit racing muffler with piping size of one of the holes at 2 1/4 and the other two at 2 inches. I was wondering what size of cat converter should i get and if i shoudl get the shop to sell me the tips for it. also do our cat converters need an 02 sensor or not?

so no one has any suggestions for a cat for me to buy and what size and stuff??

if im not mistaking, that summit muffler you have has tips smaller than the stock one. im not going to tell you to ditch it, but it might be restricting you a bit too much, or at least its not helping any.
try switching your muffler to 2.5 in/out.
as far as the cat: get one that is 3" in/out
i have 2.75 inch piping with a 3 inch cat. its probably best to get a bigger cat, cause even if you never get pipes that big, your cat will never be a point of restriction anymore. also then if you upgrade from your stock 2.25 inch pipes, you wont have to change cats again.Comment
