I just got the RKSPORT headers installed. They look great in there. But I was just curious. There is a 02 sensor bung on the Y pipe right before the cat. Our sensor is right after the cat. I got a catco cat that does not have a whole for the sensor. Would I be able to put this sensor in the y pipe before the cat. Or does this sensor only work after the cat?

Some early years of the 3.8(maybe the 3.4 too) had 4 o2 sensors. You will most likely get an SES light if you place the behind the cat o2 in the y-pipe.Keith - 99 'maro - White M5 - bumpstick and boltons - 13.65 @ 101 N/A

Up until '97 (I think) the 3.8s had 4 O2 sensors. In the 98+ cars, they eliminated the O2 sensor that was before the cat.
So just visit your local exhaust shop, have them plug the bung in the Y-pipe, and install a new bung after the cat.-James

\'96 3.8L A4 Camaro (SOLD)
