Ok, so I'm hearing a 90* extension plus some sort of screw-out set? Where can I get the screw out set?1998 M5 3.8 Mystic Teal Camaro<br />Flowmaster exhaust, Pacesetter headers, 3\" cat, 3\" S-pipe, whisper lid, ram air, Spec Stage 1 clutch, Poly Trans mount, Walbro 255LPH. I just called the local hardware store and they have the Easy Out tool viper's talking about...
I'm planning on getting a set of headers soon. Would you imagine, with this Easy Out tool and a lift, I'd be able to do it within three hours with the help of my auto instructor in school?

Three hours is a stretch. I'd say you could do it in 5 or 6 hours. And if you spray down the studs with a thread loosener before you wrench on them, they should come out nicely. The only one that broke for me was the one that I didn't pre lubricate.1998 M5 3.8 Mystic Teal Camaro<br />Flowmaster exhaust, Pacesetter headers, 3\" cat, 3\" S-pipe, whisper lid, ram air, Spec Stage 1 clutch, Poly Trans mount, Walbro 255LPH. Be careful with the air tools. That's how I broke my stud. Okay, well I've been tinkering around with my car the past couple days.
The ABS light turned out to be caused by an unplugged connector by the passenger side header. Don't ask me how in the world I did that...
I've also finally got rid of a #4 cylinder misfire code. Somehow the first spark plug I put in there ended up cracked... Anyway, that's fixed now.
Initially had codes for o2 banks 1 and 2, but after getting that cleared, it hasn't come back. I'm waiting on an o2 sim to arrive and then I'll put that in for good measure. Quick question, though: Will the o2 sim increase power if I wasn't throwing any o2 codes before I installed it? Why would I want to install it if I don't have any codes?
And so, my problems have all boiled down to that driver's side exhaust leak. It just occurred to me today that it might actually be the egr connection that's leaking, so I'm gonna check that out tomorrow and see if that might be my problem. Has anyone used the paper egr gasket supplied with the headers without any problems?
Oh yeah, and then I've got to adjust the cat hanger so the piping isn't hitting on that member right behind the passenger seat... that shouldn't be too hard...
Overall, in spite of my problems, I'm pretty happy with my exhaust setup. It sounds incredibly mean all the way to 4,000 rpm. Nice and deep! I have a hunch that the box resonator in the flowmaster system is really helping keep undesirable exhaust sounds from escaping my car. :D1998 M5 3.8 Mystic Teal Camaro<br />Flowmaster exhaust, Pacesetter headers, 3\" cat, 3\" S-pipe, whisper lid, ram air, Spec Stage 1 clutch, Poly Trans mount, Walbro 255LPH. Would really like to hear your Flowmaster system with their 3.8 specific resonator and the headers too if you can get a good quality sound clip (video would be awesome too)1997 Pontiac Firebird 3.9L<br /><br /> - TSP Dyno Tuned<br /> - Bored 0.040<br /> - ARP Rod Bolts / Head Studs<br /> - Custom CAI<br /> - Pacesetter Ceramic Headers / !Cat<br /> - 3\" Catback w/SLP Firehawk Muffler<br /> <a href=\"http://www.cardomain.com/memberpage/649312\" target=\"_blank\">http://www.cardomain.com/memberpage/649312</a>

well thats good news.
I'll let you in on a secret i discovered to finding exhaust leaks.
Seafoam your car. it will cause the exhaust to smoke and u'll see where all the leaks are.
I've also been under my car every day for the passed week. I also ordered the moroso spiroflow (?) bullet muffler to place where my cat goes.
about the o2 simulator.. the post cat o2 sensor doesnt effect the engine. its there to set a code when your cat. is not working efficient enough.
I also get the ABS inot light and the low traction light sometimes.. it doesnt really effect the drivability, but when i push down the clutch, the speedo goes to 0mph. then when i let off the clutch, it will jump back to the mph that im going.
i guess i'll have to look harder for loose connections.96 Camaro M5.
