Okay, well I put in my pacesetters with a 3" cat and fabbed up a 3" S pipe as well. Unfortunately, when I was removing my stock manifold studs, the rear driver's side stud broke off. In the head. I went ahead and put everything on, and sure enough, there's a leak at the back of the driver's side header. Also, after the install, my "ABS INOP" light came on and hasn't gone off yet in over 100 miles of driving.
So...what are my options for fixing the rear bolt/stud for my header? Besides removing the head? What do you guys think is causing the ABS light?
thats funny (not really) that happened. cause this weekend when i was doing my headers, the damn stud broke off...in the head. but on both sides. front one on passanger side, and back one on the drivers side.
What gaskets did you use? i dont have an exhaust leak... i used the stock replacement, 3 ply metal gaskets.
did you use the paper gaskets that came with the headers?

I used the same gaskets as you, three ply metal ones from NAPA.
I can't believe that you aren't getting a leak on the side with the rear stud broken off. You didn't actually get anything into those two holes, did you?
Oh, and BTW, I'm extremely satisfied with both the improved sound and horsepower gain. The engine has MUCH more torque in the mid RPM range.
no bolt in those two spots at all.. i hope it doesnt start to leak in a couple days..
you think yours feels more powerful now?: wait till the exhaust leak is gone.
ao yA. could anyone help us with this problem?
i really dont want to yank the heads either. this is my daily driver

I wonder if there's another way I can fill in the leaking spot. Would stacking a rubber gasket over the metal one help it seal? I thought about some of that RTV stuff, but that would probably blow out real quick.
