Didn't they still have to cut your I pipe down for the 90 degree pipes to work??

Actually he shaved about 2 inches off each of my 90 deg. pipes, and welded those to the end of my B&B i-pipe & catco, and they fit like a charm. I probably could of gone w/ the 45's, & just chop my i-pipe down a bit, but then the s-pipe wouldn't connect directly to my cat, so i would of had to reweld it to part of the old s-pipe b/c that metal plate thingy which houses the O2 sensor was in the way. So by using a slightly shorter 90 deg. pipe it was pretty much a direct replacement, plus i wanted to replace the old aluminized s-pipe w/ a new stainless one to have a complete stainless system, minus the headers & y-pipe of course, but those are next. But hey each to his own.
