I have a 2000 3.8L firebird, and am looking at an aftermarket cat. The factory exhaust is 2.5", isn't it?

Cat is 3" in, 2.25" out. After the cat it stays 2.25"
If you don't have any other exhaust mods, don't waste your money on a cat.
BTW, searching the forum for "stock cat size" or "stock piping size" quickly results in finding the answer. ;)
