  • 3" exhaust noise

    Hey people,
I just had my 3" exhaust put on but Im having this weird noise that sounds like a buzz but its only when I'm actually driving. If I rev it in park or neutral it isnt their.
It comes on around 3g's under heavy acceleration, I was wondering if this is the infamous RASP or if its a leak or maybe the catco heat sheild vibrating.
I can really hear it when their is a vehicle next to me or something to bounce the sound off of so I think its somewhere around the passenger side door area. Any help would be mucho appreciado.
    Thanks Shane

hey thanks for the reply but after further inspection I have an exhaust leak on top of my the converter where the y pipe meets the cat. They didnt weld it all they did was put on a clamp. That should cure the noise.
      Thanks Shane
P.S. we have exactely the same exhaust set up except for the s-pipe. I cant really tell how it sounds right now but it definately got alot louder and at idle it sounds GREAT. Hopefully I will be more impressed when I get the leak fixed.
