  • ATT: Taking my cat con off tomorow.Need advice!!

    Tomorow I was thinking on taking my cat converter off and Replacing it wiith a 3 " pipe insert.There is no Emissions law in my town and I dont think there will be any for a long while.I want to make my Dynomax a little louder then it is any Sugestions?

    From what others on this board have said (correct me if I'm wrong, you might want something (either a high flow cat or resonator there...that's what I will do if I can find someone to do it.

      You might as well just do it, about every one and their brother doesn't have a cat. Whats another one to polute the world even more. Eventually it's going to be out of hand and they are going to really crack down on everyone for it. It's just a matter of time.

        Just because there are no emissions in your town doesn't mean you can take your cat off. It's a federal law.

          I live in Vernon Bc and our air is allmost pollution free,But I will go ahead with the no cat,willl it afect my power by any chance?

            no cat here, i put a cut-out in place of it... you may lose a little low end power but it should be made up for in the higher rpm's...

              my car is pretty crapy of the line still with the mods I have maybe I need a tune up [img]smile.gif[/img] Will anythin light up on the dash if I remove the Cat?Like the SES Light?

                you may not get it at first but you will get an SES light eventualy..

                um.. but dont take of your cat you a$$.. its not worth the HP gains.. and i dont even care about the laws.. its just not cool on principal.. I am not a tree hugger or anything crazy.. but.. dam man jsut leave it on..

                  For not very much money you can get a high flow cat. It will probably even perform better than with no cat. I would do that.

                        It will add power...
                        It will sound deeper...

                        it is illegal... but unlikly to get caught.

                        But it is kinda ghetto, I did it and got a high flow CAt eventually no real differnce between higflowCAt nad gutted CAT.

                              man thats a crappy photo of vernon all I see in that photo is farmland its alot nicer looking then that ;) Well I took off the cat and put a Resenator in place,Wow my car has more balls and revs faster in first for some reson and the sound there is a nice V8 sound to it at Idle and a little rice at higher RPMs.But its all good :D
