  • Q: for those with borla's

Has anyone ever dynoed the difference between the plates?

Since I put mine on 6 or 8 months ago, I've always ran it with the 1 1/4" plate in (the smallest one).

Is it more beneficial to run with a larger plate? or to close it off? what would i get more power with?

    thanks!

I run with no plate on. I think it runs better like that. Try to take your car to the track with all of the plates. I would like to find out the results too. Many people think you need back pressure, but I don't see why. If you wanted back pressure than why even put exhaust on

muffler adds backpressure. Thats why you have exhaust.

My electric Borla valve should be here this week. Next racing season, I'll be able to make several 1/4 mile runs while changing the exhaust on the fly between runs. I won't be able to give you specific dyno numbers on the plates but I'll be able to give you time slips on fully open and fully closed. :D
