Ok, im going to do exhaust as soon as i finish my rearend. I have a setup planned and i was wanting to know if theres any problems that come to mind. take to thought i have a 95 3.4l a4.
-pacesetter headers, 3" I-pipe, remove cat, 3" cut out, s-pipe=2 90* mandrel bends, flowmaster 80 series, 3" slash cut tips.

I hear conflicts between too much loss of backpressure, others say its fine. Just wanna know.

Don't you have emissions to worry about in Ft Worth? Or are they still not testing? The gutted/removed cat idea will cause some issues there. Also, I am not sure what tips or muffler comes with some of the Flowmaster catbacks, but if you buy one for a 93-95 LT1, you will get a one piece I/S-pipe and everything else you need to bolt right up.

I think the 3" exhuast will be fine on your car, b/c the 3.4's could really benefit from a power increase up top, and your gear change should provide substantial off the line acceleration.

JMO, but why don't you try a 3" highflow catco first, & see how you like it? It's only $50. & this way your emissions legal. But if it doesn't work for you i'm sure you could find some one to buy it from you off this board, or just sell it to Jepe. ;)

Catch you at the next meet.

I wouldn't recommend taking the cat out at all. On 3.4 you'd be especially likely to see some torque loss due to back pressure, and it doesn't help you're going to be running full 3" system.

So - Keep a cat on. Just go pick up a high flow Catco for $50.
