I was thinking of running a 3' pipe that turns into dual pipes from High flow cat with no muffler and dual tips on each end. What do you think? Deep and nice or Ricey?

1. There is really not a lot of room to put 3 inch duals.
2. I was running with a highflow cat and no catback for a while and it sounded loud and deep but around 4 grand it started sounding like a rice out civic.
3. Dont do it.1993 3.4
Borla rear section
3 inch Catco High Flow Cat
2.75 inch I pipe (Picked one up from an LT-1 guy for a whole $10)
K&N Fipk
180° T-stat
Jet Stage II
10 Spoke Z28 Wheels
NGK\'s, Taylor Spiros
Mobil 1 synthetic
Email Viper2@chesnet.net for 4th gen replacement parts.

First, yes, you can fit dual pipes under our cars, just not 3". Also, try gettine 2 cats put on before the y-pipe on the headers and run a true dual exhaust with 2 2.5 in pipes with an x-pipe crossover just before the rear axle and then get your choice of tips. An ls1 did it down in san diego and It didn't sound too bad. I know there is a difference in v6 and v8 sound, but the idea was solid enough, and he ran 2.75" pipes, but was a pain to install. The x-pipe should get rid of the rice sound. But then again, why do you want to emmulate the v8's so much? If you like them that much, go out and buy one. Hell, I would if I had the money and could afford the insurance.2001 Arctic White Firebird
T-Tops, 3.42 rear gear stock
Mods:K&N Air Filter,Whisper Air Induction Lid, maf screen removed, raised air box, Kumho Ecsta 712 255-50-ZR16 tires, BMR stb
Mods not installed yet: FTRA, SLP Lsd/Differential cover
Near Future Mods: HPP3, GMMG 3\" Exhaust , 1LE Swaybars, Transgo Shift Kit, MSD-DIS-4 w/ Accel Coil-Packs, Turquoise Blue Neon Underbody Kit, BMR Adj.
