I'm sure that most of us with V6's are all V8 sound wannabee's, except for the rice burner wannabee's. Everyone has different opinions on sound for reasons of taste and personal hearing tone. So what's the closest sounding muffler to the V8 lower/deeper tone, that will also help increase hp and decrease that ugly backpressure. I may stay with the stock pipe, but may use some of your tips. I've had many V8's, being brought up in the muscle car era. we used to run Hush Thrush mufflers. Cherry bombs and glasspacks were crap, just like the rice burner sound. Everyone will have different opinions on this: I have a Borla 3" tunable exhaust that sounds awesome when the right tailpipe is removed. However, then you sacrifice the "dual exhaust" look for the nice rumble. I also have headers and a high flow cat, so that may effect the tone also.
Others have Flowmaster, B&B and Edelbrock. I've heard James' car (12secv6) and have to say that car sounds incredible. He has an Edelbrock exhaust. It is VERY deep.2004 CE Corvette 10.86@132mph
