Does the cat just unbolt? I've got monster rattling when I get off the gas, and over spring break it may be that piece of junk cat (good for the enviro though) that's breaking apart. The warranty prolly just ran out at 75k (i'm at 77k), BUT i'd still like to see if the cat is my problem. Pardon my ignorance (no ramps down here at school to get under the car) but does it just unbolt, save a bunch of rust? If I can, I'd like to unbolt it, look at it, throw it around the room ... put it back on. Thanks!
BTW, does the car smell like rotten eggs without it? Or just that "sweet / aromatic" car smell you get when you start the car (before the cat is lit)
Thanks,
-Rob
