you can get an LT1 pipe from the cat to the muffler from a local Napa Auto Parts store for $100. its all 2.75'' mandrel bent. i have no idea what the "i" pipe and "s" pipe is either. i just called it all an "i" pipe which stood for intermediate pipe. you can use your stock cat or get a high flow, the muffler shop can make an adaptor so it will fit. i suggest using a high flow cat.

An "I" pipe is an internediate pipe which is what runs from your catalytic converter to your muffler. You dont have to get a new cat, but I recommend you getting a catco highflow cat for $60 (summit). If your getting your exhaust done you might as well get one. And dont waste $100 on a 2.75" I pipe. Go on camaroz28.com or ls1.com in the for sale sections and ask if anyone is selling their stock I pipe. You can definately get it for really cheap or maybe even free if you live close enough to pick it up.

V6Bird, if you know of a local Fbody website or club in your area, that'll be good idea to post a message stating that you're looking for an exhaust pipe off a 93+ V8 Fbody. I got lucky and a dude gave me his at no charge.
