Well my headers were suppose to go on today.... Suppose to...
I get a call in the middle of the day from the shop and he tells me one of the manifold bolts is snapped off. Well great. He doesnt want to put the headers on because he's afraid it will leak so he just puts the other back manifold back on. He didnt even want to mess with drilling and tapping the old bolt and suggested another shop. I go up there and they quote somewhere around $250.... Just to get the bolt out. I called the dealership and at the discount I get it was like $300.
I'm extremely mad and dont really want to have anything to do with it myself. I still cant beleive it... :mad: Its gonna cost about $800 total for a set of F-EN headers all in all.
Will my header leak with that one bolt gone? My manifolds do not leak now.
I figure if the heads and intake are coming off I might as well get them P&P'ed if I cant get this done cheaper. This really ticks me off, it has to happen to me. :( I've already had enough problems with this car, 01 with 48k miles. Got it at 38k.
