trying to decide what size cat and should i put new piping in from my cat to my cutout.... i was thinking about going 3inch but was told that may be too big. what do ya'll think?

Just moves the powerband a little higher. You won't loose any torque, it'll just raise it up a few hundred rpm. Lots of members here use 3" and love it.Matt

The cat I just did worked great with a 3 in 3 out due to thats what the stock cat takes... Just depended on where you cut it.1996 Silver camaro Z28. Wussup guys, I have a 2.5" catco high flow cat in my car with 2.5" piping. But I want to change my piping to 3". A muffler shop here said they can weld the 3" pipes to my 2.5" cat.
What do you guys think? Will it work? Will it make a huge difference in sound if I replaced my cat with 3" or basically sound the same with my 2.5" cat.<a href=\"http://www.dontforgettotakeyourvitamins.com\" target=\"_blank\">www.dontforgettotakeyourvitamins .com</a>
