trying to decide what size cat and should i put new piping in from my cat to my cutout.... i was thinking about going 3inch but was told that may be too big. what do ya'll think?

Just moves the powerband a little higher. You won't loose any torque, it'll just raise it up a few hundred rpm. Lots of members here use 3" and love it.Matt

The cat I just did worked great with a 3 in 3 out due to thats what the stock cat takes... Just depended on where you cut it.1996 Silver camaro Z28. Magnaflow from one of thier dealers (don't remember exactly which one). Banks 03 where did they put your cutout? i just had pacesetter headers and a random technology high flow cat put on with a magnaflow exhaust. the mechanic said there was no room for the cutout? :mad: Now that i have the whole exhaust done is it gonna be a pain to get this cutout on?Comment

Wussup guys, I have a 2.5" catco high flow cat in my car with 2.5" piping. But I want to change my piping to 3". A muffler shop here said they can weld the 3" pipes to my 2.5" cat.
What do you guys think? Will it work? Will it make a huge difference in sound if I replaced my cat with 3" or basically sound the same with my 2.5" cat.<a href=\"http://www.dontforgettotakeyourvitamins.com\" target=\"_blank\">www.dontforgettotakeyourvitamins .com</a>Comment
