just called the dealership about getting a new MAF screen; can't! You can only order a new MAF sensor for $212.52!!!! now i know some of you already knew this, but this is for the ignorant [img]graemlins/dunce.gif[/img] (like me).
everyone says its bad to take out, so i thought maybe i should test it and come to my own conclusion. went to go pop it out a couple of months ago, and i kinda damaged it but left it in. that things not coming out unless i break it in half or something. so i figured why not just buy a brand new one. finally got around to calling the dealership today and... [img]graemlins/omg.gif[/img]
First, remove the c-clip by pushing the 2 ands together, then, pull out the maf screen. It helps if the car is warmed up to operating temp first. Pull it out by stabing it in the hole you already made and prying it out.
thanks for your replies guys, but i know exactly how its supposed to come out. ;) mine just didn't want to and i would have to end up slautghering it in the end. :mad:
Cardinal, didn't think about that one cause i live in Fayetteville, NC and there's only bout one out of 30 junkyards with any f-bodys in them( and they like to keep their 3.8L's in one piece!)
