a more freeflowing exhaust which in this case is flows Vs. Magna? i would say only a difference of about 3-5 hp, but when it comes down to the wire sometimes its only 3-5 horsepower u need to take the ricers

3-5hp??? That is about what a Flowmaster muffler will give you. As free flowing as magnaflow is, I really don't think it flows twice as much as flowmaster. That would be a 6-10hp muffler! Those are the kinda gains a cat-back will give you. But then again what do I know?1996 Camaro RS Bright Red<br />3.8L V6 A4 3.42\'s<br />K&N Filtercharger<br />Flowmaster 80 Series Muffler<br />Y87 Performance Package

no muffler would give a 10 hp gain. a typical flowmaster muffler will give u around a 2-3 hp difference, a magnaflow probably around 3-5.....thats the difference between the two. true its not big, but like i said before it could mean the difference in a close raceSLP CAI, RK Sport headers, P&Ped heads and intake, GT2 cam, Upgraded valvetrain, Z28 rear axle with 4.10s Tx Spd tune, Z06 rims, 2.5\" exhaust to flowmaster, 160* thermo, B&M ripper, upgraded ignition, rockford fosgate 12\" with sony xplode amp and HU.

Now that I think about it, when it comes to 1-2 horsepower vs. better sound...I think I'll go with the kickass sound! :D1996 Camaro RS Bright Red<br />3.8L V6 A4 3.42\'s<br />K&N Filtercharger<br />Flowmaster 80 Series Muffler<br />Y87 Performance Package

Between the 2, Magnaflow...Flowmaster sounds like azz.
I dont know why no one considers Edelbrock. Everyone on this board that has one, sings their praises all the time. AND its the cheapest catback out there! (cause it doesnt come with tips) I agree with IronMan, except that I dont think my exhaust ever really gets raspy.
The main reason for that is that it is a bit quieter, and is less restrictive.
At WOT above 3k rpms, it doesnt sound like a V8...or a fart can. It had a nice note thats kinda reminiscent of GT cars.
Ill try and get a sound clip sometime.<a href=\"http://members.cardomain.com/adamon6thstreet\" target=\"_blank\">1996 Firechicken</a><br /><b>15.19@91.61</b><br /><i>It Rocks Your Panties</i><p>Daily Driver: <a href=\"http://members.cardomain.com/pimpnon6thstreet\" target=\"_blank\">1990 Pontiac Trans Sport SE</a><br />Most recent mod: Mounted an Evan on the dashboard.

I'd go with the flowmaster.
I have no idea what IronMan is talking about because my car fools V8 drivers every time I start it up.<b><a href=\"http://members.cox.net/95batmobile/d86f.jpg\" target=\"_blank\">Sinister Six©</b></a><br /><a href=\"http://www.sounddomain.com/id/95batmobile\" target=\"_blank\">My \'95 Bird</a><br />I am not afraid of storms, for I am learning how to sail my ship.

I used to have 80 series Flowmaster but I needed a change in mufflers.I went with Super turbo Dyno max cat back.It sounds like a 8 and has more flow then Flowmaster or Magna Flow.So I would go with Dynomax it sounds and proforms the best.Go to www.dynomax.com and see the difference. But if your going to go with dynomax go with Ultra flowSS,They say it flows the best out of every exhust system, like 1000 Cfm and flowmaster 534Cfm see the difference

Youre just jealous cause you have the loud as azz flowmaster with ghetto bends.
FWIW, every muffler manufacturer claims their muffler flows better than everyone elses. Just look in a summit catalog. Each muffler description says "[Blank] Manufacturer tested their 3" muffler to flow better than any other 3" muffler on the market!"<a href=\"http://members.cardomain.com/adamon6thstreet\" target=\"_blank\">1996 Firechicken</a><br /><b>15.19@91.61</b><br /><i>It Rocks Your Panties</i><p>Daily Driver: <a href=\"http://members.cardomain.com/pimpnon6thstreet\" target=\"_blank\">1990 Pontiac Trans Sport SE</a><br />Most recent mod: Mounted an Evan on the dashboard.

If you go with the setup I have it will sound great. Don't get, JUST THE MUFFLER. Get the actual cat back and a high flow cat. Or if you state doesn't have emissions testing you can go ahead and put the dynomax bullet on there.\"I\'m going to torment you beyond the end of time, and hit you with a steamroller!\"

actually, dynomax and flowmaster are amoung the worst flowing mufflers...SLP CAI, RK Sport headers, P&Ped heads and intake, GT2 cam, Upgraded valvetrain, Z28 rear axle with 4.10s Tx Spd tune, Z06 rims, 2.5\" exhaust to flowmaster, 160* thermo, B&M ripper, upgraded ignition, rockford fosgate 12\" with sony xplode amp and HU.

Nah, that one night Evan and I were working on his car and you rolled up behind us, we could have sworn that an Accord was coming.
Dunno, it sounded better Monday night.
I'd recommend Edelbrock to users as well depending on what they are looking for in terms of volume.Matt<br />2000 Firebird<br /><br /><a href=\"http://www.fullthrottlev6.com/forums/index.php?\" target=\"_blank\">FullThrottleV6.com</a>
