  • Need immediate help.....please!

My I pipe is resting against my cross-brace...it rattles when I hit bumps and buzzes under highway acceleration.

What can I put between the pipe and the brace that will dampen the buzzing and rattling...but wont melt or burn?!?!

    Thanks

If you want a permanent fix, take it to an exhaust shop and make them fix it.

Don't try rubber because it will melt and there will be a really bad smell.
              Maybe wire hanger?
              Then exhaust shop time

Hey *K* Night Rider, If you like, E-Mail me your address and I'll send you a piece of 6" Header Wrap for nothin'. It should help for awhile until you get the problem fixed, and it WONT melt!
Or you can go to your local speed shop and buy the Header Wrap yourself, but it'll probably cost you about 30-40 bucks for 50' of it. I have some lying around if you want me to send you some.

I had the same problem on my exhaust. it was because of hangers that weren't stiff enough. if the work the exhaust shop did is warrantied, go back to them, have them fix it.
if they say the exhaust 'has to move around' well it does, BUT NOT THAT MUCH. there's no reason an exhaust pipe should be banging, rubbing, hanging on any part of the car.

The problem with that is that the shop is over an hour away from me...and also I dont even know if they would do it :(
