  • what the h*ll do i tell him

    so im getting my custom exhaust put in right? the mechanic tells me to leave the stock 2 1/4 pipe in there. what should i tell him?
    SLP CAI, RK Sport headers, P&Ped heads and intake, GT2 cam, Upgraded valvetrain, Z28 rear axle with 4.10s Tx Spd tune, Z06 rims, 2.5\" exhaust to flowmaster, 160* thermo, B&M ripper, upgraded ignition, rockford fosgate 12\" with sony xplode amp and HU.

      If your going to pay to get an exhaust done...go to at least 2 3/4" if not 3".

        just go to a different mechanic. He obviously don't want your business.

            I'd ask him who's paying for it, then tell him to suck your left nut. If he doesn't like that just go somewhere else.

              Midas gave me the same bull**** when I had my muffler installed. Just remind them who the customer is and that they actually have to work for their money.

                thanx for the confidence, do u guys think there will be to much backpressure with a 2 1/4 pipe?

                  he's probably telling you that because he doesn't know what to do with the post-O2 sensor that's placed inside the 2.25" stock I-pipe area (or for those who like to call that part the "S-pipe")

                      Do 3". If you are just putting around town 2.5" might be fine, but if you want some serious passing power, I would go with 3"!

                        just called the bastard and got him to put in a 2.5" so we will see how that flows
