hey i just order pacesetter headers from ftpp.net i just wanted to know if the painted black ones are ceramic coating and if not should ive gotten the chrome ones or is there any differnce thnaks guys.

the painted black ones are painted black with high temp paint that burns off and rusts. no ceramic coating on them.
the ceramachrome I think the call it are the ones that have the ceramic coating that will stay looking pretty (and keep the heat in better).
if you spent $200+/- you got the painted ones
if you spent $300+/- you got the better ceramic coated ones.
I spent the extra money. Weather or not you 'should' is up to you.

Just to warn you, after you install them, the first time you start your car it will smoke ALOT. Now worries, it's normal, just the paint baking off the headers. It'll do it for the first day or so depending on how much you drive.

will the paint totally come off of them? Can you get another high temp paint, or do you have to powdercoat them?

you can send them out to get ceramic coating. search for Jet Hot Coating.

it says right on that website that the black ones are not coated....
