For anyone who has done this, will the AC lines be in the way on the passenger side? I'm getting my car ready for its FFF turbo.

At present I am trying to find a solution as this also prohibits use of CIA headers on the older cars also.Robert - owner www.FirebirdV6.com/CamaroV6.com

Just an industrial welding shop called "jasons welding" they lined both the fittings up together and cut them in the same spot and then tig welded the 97 fittings on, i can take a picture if you wantthe black 97 <br /> New favorite Mods: Hptuners, and SLP 2OTL

I'm just going to have to give it a shot. In my parts manual it shows 95-97 to have a different refrigeration system than the 98-02. Just glancing through I don't see any 00-02 parts, only 98-02.
If all else fails it looks like I'll just have to buy headers and rework the turbo pipes.1998 A4 Pontiac Firebird

If anyone has their manual, you can see that hose (1) is different between 98-99 and 00-02 cars, but I don't think that's the hose in the way. It's the one to it's right that is about a half inch off the manifold. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.
If anyone with a 98 or 99 car tells me they have indeed tried it and it doesn't work then I'm not going to give it try. The 95-97 system use totally different parts than the 98-02 system so I may get away with it. If not, it's nothing a a big hammer can't take care of. jk1998 A4 Pontiac Firebird

I'm going to pull the log manifolds off tomorrow night and see if the tubular ones will go on. If not then I'll have to replace the hose.
I am no AC expert by any means. Is this just as simple as unscrewing both ends of the hose and then putting the new hose in its place? Will I have to drain any fluids at all?1998 A4 Pontiac Firebird
