I did the free ram air and !baffles mods tonight and I had a few small questions about them.
First one, there is a flimsy piece of plastic that is in front of the radiator, can I just yank this whole thing out? I dont see a purpose to it. Or is there some reason for it, it just seems to be blocking air to the engine bay.
And my second question is, what is the point to the big bubbly plastic thing between the air box and throttle body? (that's what it goes into, right?) It goes through the one tube, then into this random thing, and then through another tube into the throttle body. Is this the air silencer thingy that you use the pvc piping for? I didnt wanna replace that in case it served a purpose also. Thanks for the help though, I hope I made sense, if not I can post pictures of what I'm referring to.
Overall, I'm happy I did the mod though. I dont think it really feels much faster, but it seems to climb the rpms quicker, which obviously means it must be going a little quicker. Didnt take long either. ~Jason
